Shaun was born in the city of Wolverhampton in the west midlands in 1971 youngest of a family of 5 growing up he loved listening to music a cousin of his fathers had a pub call the boat in Bilston and a small function room were the one day his dad made him a disco out of an old sink unit and 2 record decks and disco lights and he did party’s for the locals who used the pub and new year’s eves were always special as he brought the disco down in to the bar and it went on till the early hours of new year’s morning
moving on a good few years Shaun has been married twice his wife now is called Michelle there both meet in May 2012 and married in October 2013
Shaun always wanted to do radio from a young age his first taste of radio was at Dudley hospital radio at Russell’s hall hospital in Dudley in 2009 were he was there for 11 month then at the time he was at Dudley hospital radio Shaun was asked to team up and do outdoor events with a close friend at the radio hence Pegasus community events was born but the draw of broadcasting was too much and in early 2010 he joined community radio station 101.8fm w.c.r (Wolverhampton community radio)this was short live as at the time Shaun was out of work and going through a divorce he finally got a job in a local hotel so he had to knock it on the head a few months later in July 2010 he manage to join Sandwell hospital radio in west Bromwich and did a show on his day off from work he spent the next 7 years at Sandwell as a presenter and in 2014 was asked to be assistant station manager
then in march 2017 after a week from hell he said at time like this I wished we lived near the sea so his wife said why not as Shaun’s sister lives in Pontardaulais and his wife said why not down by your sister in Swansea and after a bit of research of life and cost of houses in the area him and his wife Michelle moved in September 2017 but with the move he had to say goodbye to Sandwell hospital radio Shaun knew about radio Tircoed as his sister & brother in law told him about the station so he looked at the radio Tircoed Facebook page and sent a message to ask for pointers to hospital stations in the area but he was asked to pop up to the studios for a chat with a mike Lewis station director and Christine Evans the programme controller and the rest is history as they say the show that Shaun dose is called the cheese factory it was an idea that he and a fellow presenter lee Johnson at Sandwell hospital radio was working on but sadly lee passed away in July 2017 so it a tribute to him Shaun says
Shaun loves volunteering at radio Tircoed and says he is 100% committed to the station and he tries his hardest every week to do the best he can for the station although he has a paid job you can listen to Shaun every Tuesday from 6.00 till 8.00pm on the cheese factory playing classic pop songs cheesy pop songs songs you don’t hear much on the radio along with the odd chart hit so join him if you can he love your company
